Diet has a huge impact on how our bodies perform and our well being.

It is influenced by parasites, toxins, allergies, pH imbalances, overweight, mineral and vitamin deficiencies.

We can help with Natural cleansing, Detoxing, pH balancing, weight loss, removing parasites and candida from the body. Hair tissue analyis to show imblanances and toxcity levels together with depletions in vitamins and minerals.   See below for more information...

Enzymes and vitamins are responsible for converting food into energy.
They also stimulate the metabolic process and accelerate biological functions
Poor diet, stress and lifestyle deplete nutrition and energy in the body
Disease affects the amount of nutrition taken into our body
A run down state of the body is the cause of the problem and disease is the effect
We are what we eat!

Deficiencies can occur for many reasons.
Poor diet will deplete us in nutrients and vitamins – eating food that is not right for us can make us physically ill, giving a feeling of low energy and under par.

PH Balancing – your health is in the balance

Society is plagued with a torrent of health concerns. Many nutritionists believe that the explanation is due to ACID & ALKALI. An imbalance in the body’s pH can affect all major body systems, especially the: - digestive, intestinal, circulatory, respiratory and immune systems.

We need a proper pH-balanced environment to maintain proper metabolic function that allows the body to function optimally. Even though the body has built in protective systems it can become unbalanced through poor diet, stress, dehydration, chemicals and lack of exercise.

If your garden pond was murky and full of sludge and slime due to the pH being out of balance, you would be advised to put nutrients in to make the pH right and have clear water once again. This is what is needed for the body.

Rebalancing pH needs to be done with diet and minerals.  Check your levels of acid/alkaline by simply testing urine or saliva with special pH strips.

Losing Weight, Detox and 'After Atkins'

Losing weight

It isn’t just about looking good .. It is about feeling good too.

Obesity is a worldwide problem, affecting people of all ages -adults as well as children. Some recent reports suggest that it will become a bigger health risk than cigarette smoking.  One in five are clinically obese and in the UK almost two thirds of men and over half of all women are overweight.  Obesity could reduce your life span by up to 10 years

Losing weight can improve your digestion of fats and lower your risk of painful gallstones, burning fat rather than storing it.

This lowers the risk of Diabetes, decreases the burden on the heart, lowers cholesterol, reduces arterial plaque and decreases the risk of a heart attack.   This Improves circulation and minimizes the risk of stroke, haemorrhaging and fatigue.

Gaining weight can be due to an underlying clinical disorder such as “digestive disorder” or “water retention”.   It can also be due to depleted or under active Thyroid caused by stress.

Some people can have success in managing their weight while others find it difficult.  With clinical deduction and diet advice together with a range of products, certain vitamins and minerals can help to curb the sweet tooth, maintain ideal healthy weight and establish a better lean muscle/ fat balance.

A range of products and vitamins & minerals to aid weight loss, together with advice and support, is available from Omega Centre.

Natural Cleanse – Chinese herbs can help by cleansing the system with special natural ingredients designed to eliminate parasites from the body

They contain herbs and nutrients that destroy and expel parasites, shrink inflamed tissues, absorb toxins from the bowel and improve the digestion of nutrients

  We are what we eat!

Deficiencies can occur for many reasons. A run down state of the body is the cause of the problem and disease is the effect

Poor diet will deplete us in nutrients and vitamins – eating food that is not right for us can make us feel physically ill, giving a feeling of low energy and under par.  Major causes of death in this country are often as a result of poor dietary habits and lifestyle.  Many illnesses can be prevented with an adequate intake of dietary nutrition, vitamin and mineral supplements, water and regular exercise.

Foods lack nutrition The earth in which we grow food has been depleted of minerals for over 50 years. Because of the way we produce food with modern day farming methods, storage and transport there is an adverse effect of the nutritional content of our food

Harvesting too soon can prevent enzymes forming correctly and produce stored too long will deplete in nutrients and vitamins. Some food in the supermarket may have been in cold storage, for up to 6-9 months.

Pesticides- A cocktail effect of various pesticides being consumed causes great concerns to many scientists who believe the accumulation of toxic chemicals can be detrimental to health.

Nutritional value varies - Random sampling tests have shown inconsistency in nutrition levels.

Tests on carrots showed a variation from 1850mg of Vitamin A, down to only 75mg.

Oranges varied from 70mg of Vitamin C.down to only a trace.

Allergies can be caused by sensitivity to foods, pollen, dust, animal hair, common drugs, additives and chemicals. Many vitamins and herbs can help to alleviate allergic conditions.

Poor Digestion “You are what you eat, digest and assimilate”

If you are not digesting and assimilating your foods effectively you can be nutritionally deficient. i.e: - Vit. E deficient causes poor digestion of fat, poor ability to assimilate nutrition together with pancreatic, gallbladder and liver disorders. Most people are aware there has been an overuse of drugs over the years with lack of understanding of side effects.

Antibiotics kill “friendly flora” in the intestinal system, which can cause Candida, Thrush and feed yeast conditions. Friendly bacteria plays a vital role in your immune system and needs to be replenished when depleted.

Poor diet, stress and lifestyle depletes nutrition and energy in the body.  Disease affects the amount of nutrition taken into our body.

We need 22 foundation trace minerals in our body for it to function properly and we can get most of them from food and water. If we are short on just one of the foundation minerals it will impair the function of the body reducing the ability to metabolise vitamins and minerals. (Liquid forms of foundation minerals are available in the form of Colloidal Minerals).

e.g.: - Magnesium activates more than 300 enzymes in the body and together with calcium affects nerve and muscle functions.  In modern food processing more than 80% of the natural magnesium in grains is lost by removal of the germ and outer layer.

Vitamin C is one of the synergistic vitamins that open the body’s gates to other vitamins and helps the body absorb minerals.

We need to top up vitamin C.daily as it is water-soluble and not retained by the body.

Vitamin C. is needed every day and is obtained through our diet.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant needed for tissue growth and repair, adrenal gland function, healthy gums, anti - stress hormones and enhances immunity.

Trace elements (minerals) are more important factors in human nutrition than vitamins.  The body can manufacture many vitamins, but it cannot produce necessary trace minerals or get rid of many possible excesses”            Researcher Dr. Henry Schroeder

What can cause a mineral imbalance?

Diet, Stress, Inherited patterns, medications and pollution can cause a mineral imbalance.

Improper diet through high intake of refined and processed foods, alcohol and fad diets can all lead to a chemical imbalance.  Even the nutrient content of a “Healthy” diet can be inadequate, depending upon the soil in which the food was grown, or the method in which it was prepared.

Stress – Physical or emotional stress can deplete the body of many nutrients, while also reducing the capability to absorb and utilize other nutrients.

Inherited patterns A predisposition towards mineral imbalances, deficiencies and excesses can be inherited from parents.

Medication Medications can deplete the body store of nutrients e.g.: Diuretics, antacids, aspirin and oral contraceptives.

PollutionWe are continually exposed to a variety of toxic metal sources

i.e.: - cigarette smoke (cadmium), hair dyes (lead), antiperspirants (aluminum), lead based cosmetics and dental amalgams etc.,

A Hair sample analysis from a laboratory can show deficiencies in vitamins and minerals.  High / Low Toxicity levels and tissue depletion report also gives full details of diet and nutrition suggestions for correcting the imbalances.

After Atkins

If you stick to a high protein diet you do lose weight without feeling hungry. That is why the Atkins diet has taken off with whole groups of the population from celebrities to housewives everywhere.

Research reveals that protein rich foods (such as red meat, chicken, oily and white fish, eggs and game) are more satiating – they make us feel full more quickly – than fatty foods and refined carbohydrates such as white bread, cakes and biscuits.

Because the body finds it quite hard work to digest protein rich foods eating lots of them slightly increases the metabolic rate so that your burn more calories.

But some high protein foods – such as burgers, bacon, sausages and cheese – are rich in saturated fat too, which raises cholesterol and increases the risk of heart disease.  It is also thought that consuming excess quantities of protein puts strain on the kidneys.

Some nutritionists say that we can reap the slimming benefits of protein without the negative side effects, by including some lean protein at each meal – but not unlimited quantities.

You could base breakfast around some baked beans or eggs

Lunch – fish such as tuna, mackerel or salmon: lean white meat, or pulses.

Dinner - could be grilled lean gammon steak, turkey breast (without skin) or tofu.

Atkins recommends that you reduce carbohydrates to just 20g a day – most people eat 300-400g per day.

The advantages of cutting out carbohydrate packed foods such as crisps, cakes and biscuits are two fold.

They are high in calories – so excluding them reduces your calorie intake.

They have high glycaemic index (GI) which means that they are digested rapidly and send blood sugar levels soaring: this causes big surges of the hormone insulin, which ultimately causes excess carbohydrate to be stored as fat

The disadvantage of cutting out all carbohydrates is that you lose the benefits of nutritionally rich, unrefined carbohydrates, such as wholegrain bread, brown pasta and fruit and vegetables that are packed with vitamins, minerals, fibre and super-nutrients.

These foods are digested more slowly and cause a gentle rise in blood sugar together with a smaller release of the fat -storing hormone insulin.  They also have medium to low GI levels.

Whatever their source, all fats are high in calories.

Nutritionists are of the opinion that fatty foods should be taken sparingly from foods rich in saturated fats - such as butter and cheese, together with moderate use of polyunsaturated fats found in sunflower oil and monounsaturated fats found in olive oil.

Parasites

A colon filled with un-eliminated fecal matter from years of poor eating habits provides the perfect breeding ground for parasites.

Research indicates that there are over 300 different species of parasites and worms that effect more than 2 billion people around the world causing a long list of afflictions

Adults as well as children are affected.  Unfortunately, symptoms caused by parasites can often be misdiagnosed.

Some of the symptoms, which may be a sign of parasitic infections in adults, are as follows: - Anemia,    Joint Aches & pains,   Anorexia,    Lethargy,   Arthritis,     Low Back Pain,    Auto Immune Disease,      Malabsorption,    Bloody stools,         Rectal bleeding,     Distention & bloating,     Rash & itching of the skin,       Irritable Bowel Syndrome,     Weight loss,      Food Allergy,                                Diarrhoea  And many more signs …………..

In children signs may include: - Bedwetting,  Itchy rectum, nose and ears, drooling or grinding of teeth whilst asleep,   dry lips during the day.

See Candida & Thrush page for more information

Natural Cleanse Chinese herbs can help by cleansing the system with special natural ingredients designed to eliminate parasites form the body

They contain herbs that destroy and expel parasites, shrink inflamed tissues, absorb toxins from the bowel and improve the digestion of nutrients.

De-toxing also helps to cleanse the body.

Why detox? Environmental pollutants, poor diet and sedentary lifestyle can result in a build up of toxic pollutants in the body that directly effects our health and over time, if left unchecked, can lead to serious health problems: -

Allergies                     Bad Breath             Constipation            Parasites

Depression                Fatigue                      Insomnia               Headaches

Sinus congestion             Obesity          Skin conditions

Many illnesses are directly related to a build up of toxins in the body
