How does Indian Head massage work?
Indian Head massage involves working with a firm and gentle rhythm to help unknot blockages and relieve this uncomfortable build-up of tension. Working on particular areas of the body, (neck and shoulders), where stress affects the major muscle groups, can bring immediate relief. By using specific techniques, the body’s own energies are encouraged to flow through channels or along nerve pathways to all parts, systems and areas of the body. This creates a sense of relaxation that enables the body’s own healing mechanisms to restore health and balance.

What should I take for Candida

.Vitamin and mineral supplements are not a “quick fix “ and the programme would include supplements to provide enzymes to break down proteins, fats, carbohydrates and complex sugars thus making digestion more efficient, making sure there was a base foundation mineral content together with colon care and liver support.

Do vitamin and mineral supplements work with Candida?

The body needs a regular supply of vitamins and minerals to keep it working efficiently. A programme of nutrients, some of them Chinese herbs, work well and get the best results. They help to quickly change the local environment and to substitute the harmful microorganisms.

In most cases of Candida there will be a degree of digestive disturbance, ranging from wind and bloating to chronic constipation and /or diarrhoea or acid reflux

How long should I take supplements for Candida

The programme is a combination of Diet changes and supplements to help the body adapt to the changes and heal at the same time.

In most cases to completely eradicate the problem three - four months  - in some cases sooner, depending on how long the condition has been present and if it is confined to the digestive tract or if it has migrated to other parts of the body making it chronic.  If the condition is chronic then it can take six months or longer depending on how quickly the body responds.   Most people want to continue with an exclusion diet.

How does diet affect Candida?

Changing Diet is crucial to the programme and the elimination of Yeast and Candida. It is sometimes what we eat that, over time, induces and then feeds the condition.

During the  first two weeks of an anti candida programme, the diet should be strictly followed alongside an initial course of supplements to support the digestive health

Are there any side effects to tackling Candida.

During an anti-candida regimen it is common to feel worse for a short time before symptoms start to improve.  This is known as a “die-off” reaction and is a result of the breakdown products and toxins from the Candida itself being released into the bloodstream.

Fortunately, with advances in natural medicine, products have been developed to minimize this reaction, giving liver support and minimizing reaction to die-off metabolites from the candida.

It is a process that needs to be completed to eliminate all candida albicans from the body.  If reaction becomes severe, do not stop the treatment – just reduce the dose to half or a quarter of the recommended dose so that the Candida dies off more slowly and aggravation is less severe.

Do I need to take Vitamins and Minerals?
Vitamins and Minerals are essential to our health and many people take a supplement to optimize their intake. However some people believe that a healthy varied diet will provide all the nutrients needed to help maintain general health and well -being without taking supplements.

The amount of vitamins and minerals available would depend on how the food has been grown, stored and cooked. In reality, despite a growing awareness of the importance of healthy eating, we don’t always make the best food choices. Our diets are high in fats, sugary foods and we currently consume on average less than three portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

No perfect food contains the perfect mix of nutrients and you need a wide variety of different foods, from the following food groups, to achieve a healthy diet. Drink plenty of water – 6-8 glasses a day. Bread, cereals, rice, pasta and potatoes, Dairy products. Fruit and vegetables, Lean meat, chicken, fish, eggs and alternatives such as Soya, lentils, nuts and beans. Random tests have shown nutrient levels vary greatly from each piece of fruit and vegetable tested.

What causes deficiency of Vitamins and Minerals?
Everyone is unique and has different nutritional needs.  Our needs change throughout life, and as a result of the lifestyle we choose.  Busy stressful lifestyles, skipping meals, dieting and restricted diet can all increase demand for certain vitamins and minerals.  Another factor is excess free radicals in the body caused by free radical damage from environmental pollution, radiation, toxins from household and personal products and even normal body processes.  The destructive effects of free radicals on tissues and organs can be profound.

How long do I take Vitamins and Minerals for?
Vitamin and mineral supplements are not a “quick fix “ and we are recommended to continue taking our recommended supplement for at least a month.  Sometimes the body is depleted so much that it can take up to three months before effects will be felt.
